Surrey Hills Arts
Competiton: Shortlisted
During my years at UCA we were given opportunities to work on live briefs. One of these included working with Surrey Hills Arts for Heathland Artworks, an outdoor exhibition on Farnham Heath where students from UCA were chosen to create and showcase instillations they have made. The BA Graphic Design course was given the opportunity to create the leaflet for this event. It had to feature a map, their logo and have ties to the heath.

Farnham Heath photographs for inspiration. I was most drawn to a mushroom formation and decided to create a concept around this. A few of the installations that year also had ties to decay and fungi, so it fit with the exhibition. With a focus on mushrooms found on English heaths, the final design features my sketches and images of the heath to give new visitors an idea of the landscape.
