When researching exhibitions around this subject, I found the opening hours didn’t fit into the schedule of someone who had to work and the advertisements and branding were aimed at young children and families, excluding those with an interest in the subject. I aimed to create a hypothetical exhibition that would only be open to adults only, after hours, so that they could explore their interests with like-minded people, in an environment that felt welcoming and fit their schedule.

Breast Cancer Support and Talk

As part of a university project, we were asked to create a campaign around an issue. I chose breast cancer as my family has experience with it. When conducting research, I found that this type of cancer can also affect men, and that this isn’t often talked about. I created a hypothetical Breast Cancer charity that would be running an awareness campaign about Male Breast Cancer. My aim was to help those diagnosed or those who have experienced it feel less alone and provide them with a means of reaching out to others and to raise awareness that this type of cancer can affect anyone. Even if the percentage is lower in men, it is still a possibility. Focus

Using my research, I created personas and wrote stories about their experiences. I featured a sketch of these persona's doing hobbies or jobs to make them feel more real and included the breast cancer colours and blue to show that this is a Breast Cancer campaign, but it is about men, as blue is often associated as a ‘boys’ colour.

Coco’s Cafe

When working at a local café in Forest Row, West Sussex, I was asked by the owner to rebrand the business as it had no consistent branding or logo. I created the logo, colour scheme and new business cards. I went for a handwritten logo concept to show that the staff try to make the shop feel welcoming, have developed a community with customers and are there for you. The logo has two variations and works in colour and monochrome.  The exterior and interior decor were heavily seated in red, so I chose a rich, earthy red to keep with this and show that it was a coffee shop.
